I am a fourth grade teacher. We have been reading about
the underground railroad. A friend I teach with said she did some
research and found out that one of her ancestors helped in founding

I attended the gathering this year. I simply loved the
reenactors. I felt like I was stepping back in time. I learned very
much from the tours about the underground railroad in Indiana. Thank

Saturday and then went by the Lyman Holt home. I was so touched by

Myself and two friends biked to Lancaster last
Monday...they had never been...both are still commenting on how
great the experiance was..both are in construction, and really

the Plum Grove site. Many of the people involved in the anti-slavery
movement in S. Indiana and Ohio made their way to Iowa City,

As a 32 year-old African-American, I am proud to learn that not all of Indiana's history with regard to race is negative, as have been many of my experiences (e.g., I was bused to a non-welcoming) Perry Township beginning in 1981).
